B&A: Loft Space with a Mind Blowing Built-In

This incredible loft transformation is by Dorsey Designs from the spring ‘20 One Room Challenge® event. The loft area is right outside the primary bedroom and bathroom.
That built-in is to die for, and Sarah’s styling is masterful. Also, as beautiful as that natural wood ceiling was, painting it white was definitely the right call. The way the light from the skylight reflects off the ceiling and fills the room is absolutely stunning.

Above the master bathroom is this incredibly cool mini-loft area, which was also part of this renovation project. They created this second loft area by dropping the bathroom ceiling, so that they would have a spot to put a supplemental HVAC that wouldn’t be an eyesore.
To create that amazing floor, Sarah’s husband David cut pieces out of a 1×8 pine board, and she stained them to create the geometric effect.
What a cool space and a very creative solution to the HVAC problem.
