Halfway Through the One Room Challenge®: A Report from the Front Lines

We're officially halfway through the fall '25 ORC, and wow, what a season it's shaping up to be! We've been absolutely loving watching everyone's progress unfold. In case you missed the first few weeks, here are just a few of the MANY highlights from this season so far.
There are several community members doing to-the-studs bathroom renos this season and first of all, we at Team ORC bow down to each of you. One such participant is Laura of brass.unicorn.cottage, who demoed everything but the tub in her 1930s bathroom.
alexisnicolemakes is flying through making the built-ins for her moody home office project and they're coming out beautifully!
Katie of slatestudiosid skim coated her ceiling and walls like a boss. They came out looking fantastic, which is incredibly impressive when you see how much texture she was covering.
Also tackling skim coating is cancaninteriors. Here she is wielding the hugest skimming blade like an absolute pro.

Elizabeth of milliejaneinteriors officially finished the painting phase of her teen girl bedroom project and the paint+wallpaper combo is looking beautiful! Also looking beautiful: her site manager.
Jen of livingonlexington moved a built-in from a closet to its new home in the primary bathroom she's currently working on. It's perfect for this spot so that was a brilliant choice, and the color she chose for it is amazing.
efuamakesthings finished the most fun and funky paper mache floor lamp! Never seen anything like it and I'm completely obsessed.
Janie and Doug (the duo behind dollyandbud) made some big progress on their home office makeover. The white and green are looking amazing and I love how they set up the room so Janie could work on the walls while Doug worked on the molding. Efficiency!
And, this week Mr. Hooper's (pictured above) absolutely gorgeous bench arrived, which he needed to be able to access the bed. A very important piece of happy_house_999’s beautiful bedroom project!
